We spend our whole lives looking at the ground.

We spend our whole lives looking at the ground.

This song made me hopeful when I hated myself.

My last 3 posts have all been about the same topic. No matter what new evidence comes out about the power of the human mind, everyone seems not to care, like it’s not really a big deal. Like it’s just a funny set of coincidences, or a cool trick that has worked for others, but which applies little to our lives.

But we ALL know our mind is a powerful thing, i just feel like screaming to the world for not grasping the full weight of it!

Human beings go through life looking through a toilet roll. We can only observe a tiny portion of our existence at a time. But where we focus that attention means everything to our own lives. And you wouldn’t beleive how much outside our lives it influences.

If you’re going to take the time to watch ANY online video today; make it this one.

It’s a little sciency, but the facts are amazing, and it says everything I have come to realize about life. It goes for 10 minutes, and it’s amazing.

The placebo effect.

Effects of human emotion on water.

Water’s physical reaction to living things.

For other animals it’s 1 billion heartbeats, that’s it.
You can lengthen an animals life by restricting it’s calorie intake to about 3/4 of what it should be though.
I doubt we actually have a set amount of heartbeats or meals or a biological tacometer. But I think we all need to stop and take a breath sometimes. Because if it wasn’t for our fast-paced, anxiety-filled, stress-driven and coffee-fueled lives  -we would obviously live even longer.
